This policy covers this website and the plan builder at /desk/. It explains what personal information barqboi collects when you visit or get in touch, how it is used, and the choices you have.

barqboi is based in Doha, Qatar. This policy is written with Qatar’s Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016) in mind.

2Information barqboi collects

Information you send

If you message or call barqboi, including through the Call the Boi buttons, barqboi receives your phone number and whatever you choose to share, such as your name, your business and your questions.

Technical information handled by the website host

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you request. barqboi does not use this information to identify individual visitors.

Browser storage

The website sets no cookies of its own. It uses your browser’s session storage to remember a single display setting during your visit, so that an introductory animation plays once. This stays on your device and is cleared when you close the browser tab.

What the website does not collect

The website has no forms, no accounts, and no advertising or analytics trackers, and it loads no content from third-party servers.

To reply to enquiries and prepare the plans, quotes and services you ask for.
To deliver and support the tools and services you sign up for.
To keep the website secure and working.

barqboi does not sell personal information and does not use it for advertising.

4WhatsApp and phone calls

The Call the Boi buttons open WhatsApp with a prefilled message. Nothing is sent until you press send, and you can edit or delete the message first. Messages are carried by WhatsApp and are subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy. Phone calls are subject to your mobile provider’s terms.

5The plan builder

The plan builder runs entirely in your browser. The tools you choose are not stored or sent anywhere unless you decide to send them to barqboi through WhatsApp.

7How long information is kept

Enquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and, if you become a client, to deliver and support the service and to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can ask for your information to be deleted at any time, unless the law requires it to be kept.

8Security

barqboi uses reasonable measures to protect the information it holds. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9Your rights

You can ask barqboi what personal information it holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask barqboi to stop using it, and withdraw any consent you have given. Contact barqboi using the options below.

You may also raise a concern with Qatar’s data protection regulator, the National Cyber Governance and Assurance Affairs.

10Businesses that use barqboi tools

When a business uses a barqboi tool, for example to take orders or bookings, that business decides what customer information it collects and why. barqboi stores and processes that information only on the business’s behalf, to run the tool. If you are a customer of such a business and want to access, correct or delete your information, please contact that business. Customer-facing screens carry a small “powered by barqboi” tag.

This website is intended for business owners and is not directed at children.

barqboi may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
